Yesterday I was twenty two and I quit my job, turned down a beer I desperately wanted and got myself off anti-depressants.

Today I am twenty three, let’s see what this year holds for me.

  1. Keep fighting and stay true to yourself, things will become easier to deal with. You are stronger than what you might think.

  4. Happy Birthday! I like the age 23. Not sure why, but I got my first proper job that year, and it’s also the age at which my mother had me. It’s always seemed significant to me, so I hope it will be to you too! xx

  5. Getting off antidepressants without consulting your doctor can be a BIG mistake. You need to taper off them gradually. Believe me. I know. (I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV, but I still know.)

  9. Happy Birthday! I saw a comment today that reminded me of what you told me on a post. I know you probably don’t remember it but your comment stuck with them. The comment today was, “Saying that someone shouldn’t be sad because someone always has it worse is just as silly as saying someone shouldn’t be happy because someone always has it better.” :)

    • I love this saying! It’s so very true. It’s hard for others to understand, they often think we can just snap out of it.
Thank you for the birthday wishes <3

Yeah. when I get depressed and I hear about someone who has it worse, that just makes things worse for me.

  10. Early twenties are so valuable. It’s amazing that you already have a degree and have so much insight about yourself. I didn’t until my late twenties. Happy Birthday to you – awesome girl!
